This is the English blog for CEIP García Lorca in Alcalá de Henares! It is here to help students and their families practice and improve their English. This blog was created by the English language assistants and English teachers at the school. Please enjoy!
Have you enjoyed your summer vacation? Have you missed your friends at school? Let's talk about it with the help of this presentation.
This guided presentation will help you thread out your thoughts about summer, school, and a bit of yourself! There are prompts that you can use to start your sentence.
Here's a presentation you can use to practice preposition of places. You will find two kinds of activities in the presentation. First, identify the correct preposition for the sentences provided below the picture, and second, describe the picture using the prepositions. This will practice the students to provide the correct preposition and vocabulary.
Below are hand gestures made by Star Teacher Training that you can practice to help you remember the prepositions.
Here's a writing activity to practice the students' written and research skills. One must do a review about the best place they have been. Students must write in past simple.
Here's a template for the students to write on.

We use for to talk about a period of time.
E.g. "I haven't smoked for weeks."
We use since to talk about a specific point in time, or a time when the action started.
E.g. "I haven't smoked since 2010."
